Sylvia Rivera Award in Transgender Studies

This award, which honors the memory of Rivera, a transgender activist, will be given for the best book or article to appear in transgender studies during the current year. Adjudicated by CLAGS’s Fellowships Committee. See previous recipient.
Award: $1,000
Requirements:
1. A cover sheet detailing the article’s publication venue or book’s publisher, date of publication, and complete contact information for the applicant.
2. Six full copies of the article or, for books, six full copies of the first chapter or first 20 pages.
