The Terra Foundation supports scholarship and public programs on American art to foster international exchange of new ideas. The foundation is dedicated to facilitating partnerships and communication, and increasing accessibility to needed scholarly resources.
Grant funding is available for:
Research, residencies, fellowships, exhibitions, special projects such as lecture series and other public programs on American art that take place in Chicago or outside of the United States.
Other Academic Initiatives:
The Terra Foundation also collaborates on and funds special initiatives in the field of American art scholarship. Areas of interest include:
- Academic-program support to universities in Chicago or outside the United States.
- Scholarly convenings that encourage multinational participation
- Worldwide scholarly resource access
- Scholarly publications and texts on American art are considered in conjunction with Terra-supported exhibitions, symposia, or other public programs.
