The Order of the Daughters of the King

Description: Grants to Episcopal women preparing for missionary and other church-related work
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
Must be a member of the Episcopal Church, an autonomous church of the Anglican Communion, or Churches in Communion with the Episcopal Church.
Preference will be given to a member of “Daughters of the King.”
Recipients must give two years of service to the church after training.

Cannon Endowment Scholarship

The Cannon Endowment Scholarship Fund for Military Chaplains was established in 1992 through a gift from Dr. Clinton Cannon, an army retiree and lay member of the Washington North Idaho Conference of the United Church of Christ.
The Cannon Scholarship provides financial assistance to seminarians who are preparing to become military chaplains.
REQUIREMENTS
Holds church membership in a United Church of Christ (UCC); Christian Church Disciples of Christ (DOC); United Methodist, or Presbyterian, USA congregation;
Attends an ATS accredited seminary towards a course of study leading to ordained ministry;
Is a Member In Discernment of a UCC Association or Conference (or appropriate
denominational agency if from one of the other participating faith communities);
Enrolled in (or has made application to) denomination’s Chaplain Candidate Program;
Maintains a “B” or better GPA.

Bishop Frank Murphy Scholarship for Women in Ministry

As part of WOC’s commitment to creating an inclusive Catholic Church, we have created a permanent scholarship fund. Every year, we award one-two $1,000 scholarships to female WOC members who are furthering their theological education.
Women in seminary and diocesan certificate programs are encouraged to apply!

Katherine J. Schutze Memorial Scholarship

In remembrance of a passionate, ordained missionary who taught Hispanic children in Texas, the Katherine J. Schutze Memorial Scholarship is rewarded for $2,000 by Disciples Home Missions yearly. Eligible women must be enrolled full-time at ATS-accredited seminaries, pursue a Master of Divinity or relevant religious studies, be active Disciples of Christ members, reside in the United States or Canada, have unmet financial need, and prepare for ordained ministry in the Christian Church.
