Olivia James Traveling Fellowship

For travel and study in Greece, the Aegean Island, Sicily, Southern Italy, Asia Minor, or Mesopotamia. The $22,000 fellowship is open to all students, but preference is given to people doing research toward a Ph.D. and recent recipients of a Ph.D. (within 5 years of the application deadline). The fellowship is not intended to support excavations. The award may be given to one or two applicants annually. Applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada. At the conclusion of the fellowship tenure, the recipient must submit a report on the use of the stipend to the President of the AIA.
