Nominations Invited for Templeton Prize for Progress Toward Research or Discoveries About Spiritual Realities. A program of the John Templeton Foundation, the Templeton Prize is awarded annually by an international, multifaith panel of judges to a living person of any religious tradition who has made a unique contribution to progress in research or discoveries about spiritual realities. Eligible Applicants: Anyone may submit a nomination for this program. Leaders of theological and religious institutions and those engaged in innovative and creative research are especially invited to submit nominations. Amount: The Prize is a monetary award in the amount of £1,000,000 sterling ($2,000,000 USD), is awarded for originality in advancing ideas and institutions that deepen an understanding of spiritual realities. Nominated contributions should be innovative, primarily spiritual rather than primarily humanitarian, and result in an appreciable acceleration in spiritual discoveries.
